We are a network of researchers, founded in 2018, that develops collaborative research between universities, governments and scientific societies at national and international level in the area of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM). We promote scientific development and dissemination of knowledge to contribute to the implementation of evidence-informed policies and the integration of natural products and traditional and complementary person-centered practices into health systems.
The
Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health has the mission of contributing to the promotion of scientific research on integrative and complementary approaches in health through the systematization and production of studies and research, increasing the visibility of scientific knowledge in the area and promoting exchanges and collaborations between researchers, universities and national and international research groups to subsidize the implementation of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicines in an integrated way to the public health system with safety, efficacy, professional qualification, quality of services and products.
Our vision is to be an institution of excellence and a national voice of the collaborative academic network that contributes to the process of implementing Brazilian public policies in line with WHO guidelines in the area of Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM), through strengthening and democratizing access to evidence and gaps in scientific evidnce for decision-making.
